Central Catholic is hoping to defend their back to back Mount Hood
Conference championships with an entirely new team. More than 65% of
their scoring, rebounding, steals, and assists graduated last year.
Nate Carr returns as their leading three-point and free throw shooter
and Damas Gakwasi returns as the second leading rebounder from last
year.
The Rams are coached by Michael Petrino who has a coaching record of
39-14 in two seasons. Coach Petrino guided Central Catholic to Mount
Hood Conference Championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and was named the
MHC's Coach of the Year both seasons as well.
This is the second straight year that Central Catholic has appeared in
the Les Schwab Invitational.
